10 years ago we were approached by IBIA to take over their existing publishing contract and produce the industry leading magazine World Bunkering. Our extensive publishing experience, both nationally and internationally, made us the ideal partners on this project.
During the past decade we’ve implemented a complete re-design of the magazine and have increased its revenue by 40%.
We continue to sell, design, print and distribute the magazine to a global audience and also support IBIA with all their design, print and exhibition requirements.
The brief: Take over an existing magazine, rebrand it and increase sales.
The challenge: The magazine must be cost neutral (at the time of take over it was running at a loss), with the long term aim of producing a profit for both us and the client.
The solution: We brought the complete publishing package in house. Being in control of all aspects allowed us to keep a tight reign on all associated costs. Our design team, working closely with the client, undertook the complete rebrand. This was all achieved within a 4 week window, allowing the new design to be in place for the next available issue.
Our print team suggested some cost saving solutions to the client, these were all taken on board and agreed.
Finally, via our own mailing house, we took full control of the international distribution, once again reducing costs.
Ten years later we still publish the magazine and it continues to make a profit.
