Another long standing client we’ve worked with the Burlington team for over 10 years now. We’re on hand to help them with their weekly design requirements and offer advice and solutions when needed.
More recently we’ve rebranded their company logo, along with creating a new family of catalogues for their various business sectors.
The brief: To create a new corporate logo and related content that can be utilised across the companies various marketing materials… digital, print and social.
The challenge: Produce a unique and attractive logo that accurately represents the companies values and brand.
Because of the companies long name we had to consider using single letter variations and abbreviations so it could be used across all mediums.
The solution: Throughout the whole process we worked very closely with the Burlington team via weekly meetings. Each meeting gave both parties the chance to discuss the previous weeks work and plan the next step.
From a very early stage it was agreed that we should produce two variants of the logo. Variant one being the full logo, variant two an abbreviation (BU).
This meant the logo would be visually pleasing across all platforms and materials.
Burlington Uniforms already had a strong and well established colour scheme. We made the decision to retain existing colours, albeit with a minor adjustment to brighten them up.
For the BU part of the logo we decided to utilise a primary shape… (square, circle, triangle etc). This would not only sit well alongside the full logo but also when used on its own.
The font needed a complete overhaul. We moved away from the serif style font and more towards a sans serif font, creating a modern and contemporary logo… something that was very high on the client list of requirements.
