Burlington Uniforms

Burlington Uniforms Ltd specialises in providing corporate uniforms across all industries and business sectors, with nearly 50 years of expertise in the field.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with the Burlington team for over 10 years, assisting with their weekly design needs and offering advice and solutions whenever required.

Recently, we undertook a complete rebrand of their company logo, alongside the creation of a new suite of catalogues tailored to their diverse business sectors.

The brief: To design a fresh corporate logo and associated content that could be utilised seamlessly across various marketing platforms -digital, print, and social media.

The challenge: To create a distinctive and appealing logo that truly reflects the company’s values and brand identity.

Given the company’s relatively long name, we needed to consider using abbreviations and letter variations to ensure the logo would be adaptable across all mediums.

The solution: We worked closely with the Burlington team throughout the entire process, with weekly meetings that allowed both parties to review progress, discuss the previous week’s work, and plan the next steps.

Early on, it was agreed that we would create two logo variants: the full logo and a simplified abbreviation (BU). This approach ensured that the logo would be versatile and visually appealing across all platforms and materials.

Burlington Uniforms already had a strong, established colour scheme, which we decided to retain – albeit with a subtle adjustment to brighten the tones and enhance their vibrancy.

For the abbreviation (BU), we chose to incorporate a primary shape (square, circle, triangle, etc.), ensuring it would sit well alongside the full logo and function effectively as a standalone element.

A complete overhaul was necessary for the typography. We moved away from the traditional serif font, opting instead for a modern sans-serif typeface, creating a fresh, contemporary look – exactly what the client was seeking.
